Start your day with a dose of beautiful, scenic views while you travel across the exuberant Braulio Carrillo National Park on your way to Puerto Viejo de Sarapiquí, where you’ll enjoy going from tree top to tree top through amazing zip lines.
The Braulio Carrillo National Park is set upon 116.000 acres of land that hold multiple habitats, including primary tropical forests and cloud forests among others. Over 90% of its total land is covered by primary forests, producing one of the most biologically diverse areas in Costa Rica.
Once in the Puerto Viejo de Sarapiquí area, you will take a boat ride up to a beautiful natural reserve, where your canopy tour will begin, just after a short hike. The canopy tour is an amazing adventure that will take you to 15 platforms, travelling from one another through the most amazing and professional set of zip lines, placing you in perfect contact with the tree tops and the life there. This kind of activity was conceptualized many years ago by biologists in their attempt to get closer to the wildlife living in the highest parts of the trees. You can rest assured that this will be an unforgettable experience, departing right from Costa Rica’s Central Valley for an estimated 9 hours for this tour to complete. The tour includes ground transportation, bilingual guide, boat trip, canopy equipment, coffee and lunch.
