This tour requires a minimum of two people to operate.
Bring comfortable shoes, binoculars and camera.
The tour starts in the Eastern side of the city, going through places like the Democracy Square, the National Museum, the Justice District, Los Yoses, San Pedro Mall and the Hispanity Fountain and the Rodrigo Facio Campus at the University of Costa Rica.
After passing by some of the city’s most important landmarks we will stop at the Pre Columbian Gold Museum and the beautiful National Theater where we will experience them in a more detailed manner with a tour inside of them.
After finishing with this portion of the tour, we continue towards the western side of San José, going thorough La Sabana Metropolitan Park, the Costa Rican Art Museum, the National Gymnasium, The National Comptroller’s Building, the residential zone of Rohrmoser, the Apostolic Nunciature, the home of the Nobel Peace Prize Winner Dr. Oscar Arias Sánchez, the Rohrmoser Boulevard and the Pavas area.
At the end of this tour, you will also have the opportunity to visit an interesting place where you can buy some souvenirs from your visit to the city of San José.
The National Theater is closed to public on Sundays so the tour covers only the outside portion of the building as well as all the exhibits of the Pre Columbian Gold Museum.
