Manuel Antonio National Park is considered to be one of the most beautiful in Costa Rica. The combination of paradisiac beaches with crystal clear water, coral formations, exuberant vegetation and the natural beauty of tropical moist forests is impressive. Manuel Antonio’s beaches are also among the country’s best, where surf and diving are very popular.
The trip to Manuel Antonio will take you on the Southern Coastline Highway, where beautiful views include African palm trees and pictorial towns are common visible until reaching the Port of Quepos and continuing towards Manuel Antonio National Park.
Upon arrival to the National Park you will take a short hike across a small river to Access the Park, since vehicle access to it is not allowed. Once you reach your destination, you can either walk along the beaches, sun bathe or observe the abundant wildlife existing in the zone: monkeys, iguanas, birds and if you are lucky, you might even get the chance to observe a three-toed sloth.
One of the trails within the National Park will take you to Punta Catedral, from where you will have a spectacular view of the park and the sea.
