Doka, Grecia & Sarchí

This tour starts with a wonderful trip through some of the largest coffee plantations in the country known as Hacienda Doka located at about 1350 meters (4500 feet), where we will make a tour observing the process and machinery used to produce our Golden Grain. We will learn from the tradition, history and culture of one of the best coffees in the world.

Eventually we will go to Greece a quiet and beautiful town dedicated to the agriculture of coffee and sugarcane besides textiles, it is considered one of the cleanest towns in Latin America. There you can admire the famous metal church unique in the country.

Then we will go to the town of Sarchí, considered the birthplace of artisanship in Costa Rica. We will visit the cart factory in order to observe the artisans of the area doing their best painting and woodcarving, especially the preparation of the carts typical splendidly decorated and in various sizes, which are appreciated around the world for its incomparable beauty and design.

In this same town, we will visit the central park to observe the largest wagon in the world, which proudly occupies a space in the Guinness Book of Records. It should be noted that in this part of the tour we will have the opportunity to acquire souvenirs and in general, the best crafts that only the artisans of Sarchí know how to make.
